Prepare pre-construction information file in accordance with Company procedures.To produce detailed drawings of new house types from floor plans, elevations and the brief received from the Technical Director for inclusion within the standard house type portfolio.To prepare briefs, instructing and assessing the work of external design consultants, as required, after agreeing the scope of works, information required, programme and costs with the Technical Director.To prepare detailed house type working drawings including floor plans, sections, elevations, heating, plumbing, soil and electrical layouts, kitchen and bathroom designs, window, door lintel and site specific schedules in accordance with the programme agreed with the Technical Director and in sufficient detail to comply with Company and regulatory requirements and, for issue to Building for construction. Issue design information to Building for construction as an initial release of information subject to Technical Director’s approval. Subsequently issue further instructions and variation orders as required. Ensure designs meet Building Regulation and other regulatory requirements and assist the Engineers in preparing, submitting and obtaining technical approval from Building Control, the NHBC, and, any other regulatory body or agency appropriate to the project.Visit sites regularly throughout the design and build process to monitor build, provide support to the building team, respond to technical queries and report any issues to the Technical Director.
