Working closely with the operations team to ensure test environments and software versions are available to the QA team when required.Liaising with customers, partners and 3rd party contractors to manage external deployments and UAT test cycles ensuring they run smoothly and to-time.Recording and management of software artifacts for internal releases.Escalation of issues and incidents to director\board level where appropriate.

Sole test engineer working with a team of between 5 and 7 developers. As the first and only member of the QA team I was able to bring my previous experience from Aviva and Unisys to bear.Implemented an issue management system using FogCreek’s Fogbugz product to manage development bugs, enhancements and features. This was later extended to provide the mechanism to manage software support.Working closely with developers with respect to QA’ing new features and raising defects. Managing my own time and workloads in-line with release milestones.Contributing to interviews for new team members, both developers and QA staff. Working closely with the development manager and I.T. manager to develop and refine the technology team’s internal processes.Heavily involved in the internal deployment processConstruction of release notes.

Duties included deriving test conditions, scripting tests, locating/creating test data (via SQL), executing test scripts, raising defects (via Test Director), liaising with developers/business analysts, regression testing and reporting progress to stakeholders. All work was carried out with respect to a major migration project.
