I am a Financial Analyst for Collin County’s Health Department and manage the organization's financial planning & analysis (FP&A). Responsibilities include monitoring financial controls, technical analysis of operational expenses, personnel, and allocating resources for business improvements. Additional duties include managing projects, developing forecast models, and key performance indicators (KPIs).Prior to joining Collin County, I completed the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) PepsiCo Foundation Public Policy Fellowship program in Washington, D.C and served in health policy roles with the American Hospital Association (AHA) and spent time working with Congress on the House Ways & Means and House Budget committees. Policy research topics included Nutritional Health, Maternal Health, Social Determinants of Health (SDOH), Health Disparities, Food Deserts, Prescription Cost Negotiation, Medicare, and Medicaid expansion.I have experience in various healthcare operations and have a balanced mix of technical and soft skills to successfully lead projects in both small/large sized teams.
