• Develop the stores retail compliance team of 5 to coach and train our 34 stores from the sales staff to the store managers ensuring that targets, processes and key performance indicators are to corporate standards
• Meet regularly with the Senior Management & Regional Management teams to discuss issues and decide on new directions to help deliver the company strategy across the retail stores and corporate warehouses.
• Lead the Stores solutions team (who analyse store systems) to develop the retail system to allow managers and sales teams to achieve key performance indicators and spend more time with customers and less time in front.

• Inaugural head of the Internal Audit function, which has accountability for management of internal risk
• Develop policies and process which reduced risk in the business, but in turn not hinder the growth of the business.
• Coach and train the stores teams ensuring that each has a clear understanding of the company policies and processes.
• Develop and train an audit team of 6 to run the day to day functionality and risk management of an internal audit department. This included performing store stocktakes, store performance visits, analysing of the data.

• Managed 8 direct reports across 5 states which included 145 stores
• Train and develop the team of district managers who in turn train store managers in salesmanship principles, current retail management trends and business principles
• Work on ensuring store profit and sales forecasts and ensure return on investment of new and existing refurbished stores through staff and manager selection, training as well as store fit out selection
• Manage the promotional planner for the business and ensure it is executed as well as all Visual Merchandising plans for the stores.

• Ensure that stocktakes were completed across 200 stores and 8 divisions. Investigate and interview staff members in relation to fraudulent finding.
• Work to develop Audit processes in conjunction with ops, finance, IT and all business stakeholders to ensure changes in systems and processes are communicated, trained and measured.
• Submit audit reports monthly, quarterly, bi-annually and annually for stores and for board. Analyse and track store performance, trends and profitability in line with ops team to identify potential audit breaches and.
• Maintain regional audit calendar making sure that all stores and warehouses had stocktakes. Maintain the travel budget for 2 auditors and making sure that expenses were not exceeded
