I graduated in May 2023 from the University of Connecticut with a major in Actuarial Science-Finance. This upcoming year, I will be returning to UConn to complete a graduate certificate in Leadership and Public Management while finishing out my track and field career in the NCAA.I have passed exams P, FM, IFM, and Exam 5, and my actuarial experience consists of three consecutive years as an Actuarial Leadership Development Program (ALDP) Intern at Travelers. In my first summer I was placed on a workers' compensation team where I focused on analyzing the impact of attorney representation in workers' compensation claims, a project that was inspired by the relevancy of social inflation. In my second internship I had a more traditional role on a pricing team, where I worked in SQL and Qlikview to create a dashboard that will allow the team to easily monitor rate need throughout the rate adequacy process. This current summer I am on a small commercial analytics team developing a disruption tool for a pricing model that is being actively updated.Beyond my work history, a unique experience that I have had throughout my time at UConn has been competing on the Division 1 Cross Country and Track and Field teams. I feel strongly about my time competing at UConn because the qualities that you need to possess to become a successful runner are the same ones that will make you succeed in the workplace. Most importantly was learning how to effectively manage my time, being a mentor to younger teammates, and maintaining a high level of self-motivation
