CurrentI manage a £750K Capital Investment programme in close liaison with colleagues at UK Athletics and have developed local facilities frameworks to highlight development priorities across local authorities in England. In 12/13 I accessed over £650K through external funding agencies to finance the construction of the first Compact Athletics Facility in the country in Hackney and the refurbishment of Fox Hollies Athletics Facility in BirminghamI directly line manage for 4 Area Managers and a Community Programme Manager, with overall responsibility for over 50 field based staff across EnglandI oversee the continued development and implementation of a £12M Recreational Athletics plan to grow participation levels in all forms of athletics from 1.9m to 2.4m participants by 2017. This includes the management of a newly developed AthleFIT programme to grow participation in recreational track and field activities in community and private leisure facilities I have introduced an insight lead approach to the investment of resource into recreational running programmes across key strategic locations and managed the process of introducing a £200K pa ‘Run Tracker’ system to measure and performance manage direct and indirect impact on market growth. 10 leading commercial running providers have been engaged in an industry wide Run Group to ensure a collaborative approach to participation growth in the marketI manage the strategic delivery of all formal education for over 7800 coaches, teachers and officials in England per annum. Changes in management and delivery have been implemented at local level to ensure more effective planning, promotion and mapping of course schedules. Currently I am overseeing the implementation of a new online booking system and pricing structure for all formal education courses, and have introduced a detailed course income and expenditure analysis to improve efficiencies in all areas of the education department.
