Lead engineer on a web-based audio analysis platform for the early childhood education space. Introduced technology and practices to improve system effectiveness, reliability and maintainability. Worked with C-level management and fellow engineers to prioritize and execute projects using desktop, server and cloud solutions.• Rearchitected the infrastructure and deployment of our Java web application to a cloud-based solution using Docker, AWS ECS, AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, and AWS RDS to produce a platform that recovers from failures, reduces risk in deployments and increases system scalability.• Evangelized the concept of infrastructure-as-code to C-level management and engineering team as a practice to provide consistent system environments and disaster recovery. Implemented infrastructure-as-code solutions across our AWS-based solutions using AWS CloudFormation.• Designed and developed a processing pipeline for automated audio analysis using Java, Packer, AWS S3, AWS EC2, AWS Autoscaling and AWS SQS to increase scale and performance while reducing costs.• Produced and maintain a desktop application to manage and transfer audio from a proprietary USB audio recorder. Implemented using Electron, VueJS, and a C# Windows Service.
