As a team we got involved in a range of activities and provide strategic communications advice and support to all aspects of our business. A key responsibility for me in this role was working with regional media across the country, primarily in relation to our network infrastructure and our co-investment partnerships with state and commonwealth governments. This included providing comments for network outages and site upgrades, closure of the 3G network, rollout of the 5G network and the launching of new base stations. I also prepared and provided media responses for crisis situations such as fire or floods or a myriad of other issues that could potentially occur. In addition I also provided communication and support on key sponsorships such as the NATSIAA's (Australia's most prestigious first nations art awards held each year in Darwin) plus more recently the Australian Ballet.
