Developing and preparing GCDOCS training materials such as the Quick Reference Guide and activities used in the official GCDOCS Manual.Developing a new WIKI concept for IM. This includes; researching design, layout, IT capabilities, and presenting the concept to management.Assisted in developing the Navigational Manual for the GCDOCS project by utilizing Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel applications.Conducted testing for GCDOCS training material, analyzed and summarized the issues and provide recommendations to management on results.Provided advice and guidance to different staff on the importance of IM. This includes training staff on records management and mentoring new staff.Developed, organized and represented IM at VAC’s first IM Awareness Day. This included; preparing an IM video highlighting common issues found throughout VAC, numerous handouts such as; IM culture, Policy Information, Avoiding Risk, Directives, What to keep/delete, Promotional items and an IM trivia sheet, and contacting personnel at each VAC location to verify approval.Researched websites for ideas on how to improve training material and IM awareness tools.Consolidated and standardized listings of all information holdings in order to make searching consistent, faster and easier by utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Word, Publisher, Excel, and PowerPoint).Facilitated the disposition process set by Library and Archives Canada. This included; the completion of request forms (VAC 118’s), tracking the status, and overseeing the final disposition of files.Participated in all aspects of transferring official documents to Library and Archives Canada. This included gathering, organizing, and packaging material.Performed detailed audits of all information holdings and created an accurate and complete inventory of all records using various Microsoft Office applications.
