My career has focused on the positive impact that can be generated by Advanced Analytics. This includes thirty years of client service, leadership roles within major consultancies and numerous civic/philanthropic efforts. In January of 2021 we launched The Data Equity Project. TDEP is a nonprofit designed to improve economic mobility in the US by enabling low and middle income families to share in the financial value created by their data. Our specific goal is to generate $200 per month for each participating household, a level of economic empowerment that can open new possibilities in housing, healthcare, education and many other critical foundations of a healthy life.As a partner at McKinsey Analytics I worked with clients to unlock the potential new technologies hold for their unique business model. By convening leadership across business, technology and analytics we are able to design and implement pragmatic solutions that elevate the organizations competitive advantages and deliver on the promise of AI and machine learning. I have chronicled the journey of achieving aspirational value from analytics in HBR and McKinsey.com (see below)Prior to joining McKinsey I founded and led analytics organizations at Deloitte (1996) and EY (2003). My work spans several industries with a concentration in Financial Services. In addition to transformation programs my client efforts have included M&A and Crises Management when a quantitative lens is needed. I began my career as an actuary working with insurance clients.My community activities have included various United Way leadership activities, participating in the Chicago Anti-Violence and Community Stabilization Initiative and sponsoring Wounded Warrior outdoor programming.
