Chris Miller (1971) is a producer and curator of cultural and artistic projects based in Brussels,Belgium. In the late 90s, Chris began his career in the cultural sector as an assistant at theEdinburgh International Film Festival, Scotland, where he spent a few years; there he becameaware of issues of Anglo-Saxon lgbtqia+ activism. In 2001, he moved to Brussels, joined theEuropean Commission and worked for over ten years advising professionals in thefilm industry as part of the Creative Europe programme. In 2007, he joined the team of thequeer film festival Pink Screens, with which he selected films, performances and programmed itsclosing party.In 2012, Chris initiated the collective La Garçonnière Prod. with the aim of proposing events thatbring together electronic music, visual arts and performance through a series of festivals andthematic events. His inspirations range from cinema to dance, diversity, queer art and contemporary counterculture as well as history, from which he graduated. During one of his trips to Mexico, he met and collaborated with queer and feminist arti-vists including Edgar Asher Ramírez with whom he created the Homografía/Homography video and performance festival (2015) and it was in 2019 that the festival moved to Brussels.Through La Garçonnière Prod., Chris has developed working relationships with art collectives and venues over the years, supporting emerging talents and established artists by developing projects that facilitate international exchanges, the sharing of practices, and transmission. Through the festival or in the nightlife sector, Chris also contributes to the establishment of safer spaces for lgbtqia+, feminist and anti-racist artists and audiences.Since 2020, Chris has been producing a talk show with King Baxter on Radio Panik (FM 105.4): Talk From Homografía invites every month actors from the queer nightlife world, activists, visual artists, performers and DJs/producers.
