Facilitate the transition of regular monthly reporting to our IT base in India. Planning and coordination of training to free up 100+ hours per month of resource within the team. Reassessment of Target footprint in the Engineering, Construction and Power LoB and implementation of new data for Underwriters at point of sale/renewal. Development of a brand new presentation suite/dashboard for key Stakeholders.

Achievements• Brought in to manage both LV=Broker’s largest account and its poorest performing. Through targeted action, have driven an 8% L/R improvement in the largest account, contributing to a reduction of 6% in LV=Broker’s overall L/R. Oversaw the poorest account’s transition to a new SWH, facilitating improved usage of third-party data to combat fraud, leading to an improvement in business written. Currently monitoring their improvement which should bring them more in line with their own performance two years prior.• Initiated an entirely new LV MI reporting pack thereby encouraging greater sharing of performance figures from my brokers. This has resulted in much easier segment analysis and comparison.• Set the new benchmark for pricing presentations as fed back by our Pricing manager.• Following the Joint Venture with Allianz, volunteered to assist with LV’s re-entry into the Home Broking sector by fully reviewing their Home offering and making recommendations using my ten years’ prior experience in this field.Additional duties• Responsible for delivering the Personal Lines Car Business plan for own accounts.• Assist with the development, implementation and delivery of the overall Portfolio Underwriting Strategy• Constant review of the shape and quality of incoming business. Ensure that pricing/underwriting integrity is maintained.• Use statistical information to identify brokers that are performing well or poorly and prepare recommendations for presentation to the LV=Broker Pricing committee.• Review proposed broker schemes and work with the Personal Lines Distribution team to decide which ones to promote to the Portfolio Underwriting Manager for consideration. Principally responsible for servicing the general insurance policies of up to 100 customers every day, over the phone and in correspondence. Development of communication, teamwork, problem solving, basic underwriting and financial risk analysis. The role also required regular contact with associated departments such as claims, accounts and technical underwriting and also limited contact with brokers.
