Nancer Communications, LLC is a California-based, small-business-certified consulting firm created in January 2020 to work between government agencies, media companies, advertising agencies, and public relations firms to assist with the optimizing of both contractor delivery, and client receipt, of strategic communication deliverables.Chris Nance previously was Chief Communications Officer (CCO) for the California Earthquake Authority (CEA) since 2008 where he earned approval for marketing budgets adding up to more than $100 million.Upon his departure, he was recognized by CEA’s Governing Board for his "experience, vision, creativity and big ideas, leadership, and commitment." During the decade prior to Chris joining CEA, its total policies-in-force dropped by 12 percent. Since Chris joined CEA, it’s policies-in-force increased by 40 percent. Previously as CEA CCO, his team earned the coveted SAMMY Award in 2016 recognizing the best overall work among all IMCA award winners that year. Prior to CEA, Chris was a consultant for Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, FleishmanHillard, and Hill+Knowlton Strategies; a deputy secretary for the California Business, Transportation & Housing Agency and the California Department of Food & Agriculture; a senior consultant for the California Legislature; and a press advance representative for The White House.Chris earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from Michigan State University.
