Duties include study scheduling and monitoring, review of IACUC.

• Pulse Therapeutics is a start-up company developing a novel device for enhanced thrombolysis in acute ischemic stroke treatment. Responsible for preclinical in-vivo efficacy and safety studies to provide key data for.
• Designed and executed novel rabbit thrombosis experiments to demonstrate the device’s pre-clinical efficacy.
• Collaborate with relevant experts in stroke and toxicology to design and manage completion of pre-clinical safety evaluation prior to first-in-man study.
• Function as primary interface with Australian CRO to manage clinical trial.
• Work with CRO to identify top stroke physicians and medical centers in Australia to recruit potential Principal Investigators for human trial.
• Collaborate with clinicians and clinical consultants to develop first-in-man clinical protocol.

Supported range of animal model needs across the therapeutic area: validating and running animal models for different disease areas (thrombosis, diabetes, and metabolically-driven hypertension and inflammation). Supported project teams, new target exploration, and intersection of multiple disease states (metabolic diseases and hypertension).
