Project Managet at SETS Enterprises. I help manage our mining and resource clients.Canadian born, grew up in the UK. I was a Corporal in the 1st Battalion The Black Watch (RHR), 1989-1999. I have been in Australia since 2000 and am an Australian citizen.I worked as an Emergency Management Officer (EMO) with Rio Tinto. I was also the Emergency Management Advisor (EMA) for Rio Tinto, supervising a team of EMO's across 3 sites. Responsibilities also included being Captain of Tom Price Private Fire & Rescue Service managing and leading a team of 30+ volunteers of various professions and ages. As EMA I was also responsible in facilitating the Sites Business Resilience Teams in all aspects and types of situations whether it be an emergency or a logistics type incident.I was an inaugural member of Tom Price Bush Fire Fire Brigade and held the rank of Firefighter, Lieutenant and then Captain. I was also appointed Deputy Chief Bush Fire Control Officer for the shire of Ashburton.My family and I left the Pilbara after being made redundant from Rio Tinto in May 2019. We now reside in Perth.Whilst I was Captain of both brigades in particular the VFRS, I achieved Firefighter of the Year in which I shared with my wife Maxine who was the secretary. This was in recognition of a fire safety program for indigenous children following a tragedy we attended near Tom Price. Later on the, brigade was awarded Firefighters of the Year twice with the Tom Price Bush Fire Fire Brigade for the work we did in the community.Throughout my career both military and civilian I have shown that I can lead teams in highly intense and stressful situations. I am compassionate and I pride myself on my integrity and professionalism.
