The Broadcasting Accessibility Fund Inc. (the Fund) is an independent and impartial funding body supporting innovative projects that provide solutions to promote the accessibility of all broadcasting content in Canada. The Fund will support projects that provide practical solutions to increase accessibility to broadcasting content and that, whenever possible, make use of inclusive design principles to promote accessibility at the earliest stages and in the most cost-effective manner for new technologies and applications in Canada.

Establish project teams, including sourcing external contractors, and managed the project budgets. - Managed stakeholders’ expectations and builds confidence by communicating and obtaining confirmation of project/program scope, schedule and deliverables , providing advice and expertise and by preparing project/program status reports. - Controlled and managed projects, delivering specified objectives on time and on budget, utilizing proven project management techniques; including monitoring project progress to milestones, coordinating activities, resolving problems, reviewing design/specification changes and revising schedules as required. - Maintained professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.

AMI led initiative in cooperation with the Canadian Association of Broadcasters (CAB), DV practitioners, and grassroots organizations for the blind and partially-sighted, to facilitate the creation and maintenance of best practice documents related to the production of described video.Established in 2012, the committee has curated a series of best practices documents for Post Production Described Video (DV), Integrated Described Video (IDV), and Live Described Video.
