Throughout my career, I have been recognized as an energetic business development specialist, award-winning sales director, and indoor/outdoor climbing enthusiast who boosts organizations to the next level.Since 2006, I have been the owner of Boston Rock Gym, which is the oldest rock gym on the East Coast and the second oldest in America. Our gym has been at the heart of the local climbing community since the very beginning. Over the years, we have trained generations of climbers on our walls. I should know; I was one of them!One of my greatest professional achievements was initiating a successful business turnaround for Boston Rock Gym. I am a proactive, hands-on leader and natural problem-solver who thrives working with customers, understanding their needs, and developing new programs. We were able to increase revenue 20% in the first year and 60% within three years while simultaneously streamlining internal processes.I possess a unique market perspective from my combined professional/personal years in the climbing industry. I have a creative vision for both overall business strategy and daily operations. A major factor in each success was expanding and cultivating alliances with reputable companies to further business opportunities.My work has spanned CEO, sales director, product director, and operations manager roles. I am a genuine people-person who is versatile and enjoys communicating with and mentoring individuals at all levels to create a human relationship building culture where customers and employees feel connected. I earned a Master of Education degree with management emphasis from Cambridge College and hold certifications in Indoor Climbing Wall Instructor / Single Pitch Instructor from AMGA and Wilderness First Responder (WFR) from SOLO.In my spare time, I hold leadership roles in outdoor industry organizations including the Access Fund, Climbing Wall Association, American Alpine Club, American Mountain Guides Association, and Vedavoo Packs.
