I am a mariner, diplomat and author with excellent academic, business, leadership and seamanship credentials. My wealth of security, regulatory and international policy experience underpins a proven track record of delivering financially astute, innovative, timely, safe and successful outcomes across a full spectrum of political, operations and maritime management challenges, often in very demanding circumstances. With a wide range of military and civilian-accredited qualifications, I have accrued global experience and skills spanning merchant marine, military and diplomatic activity. This includes maritime regulation, operational planning & delivery, conflict resolution, research, development, procurement, maritime law enforcement, human resources and training.As a part-time naval historian I have published three books, with all the proceeds going to naval charities: Naval Minewarfare - Politics to Practicalities (ISBN 978-1789630862); Crash Start - the Life and Legacy of Lt Guy Hudson DSC RNVR (ISBN 978-1789630626); and Torpedoes, Tea, and Medals - the Gallant Life of Commander Jake Wright DSC** RNVR (ISBN 978-1636241401).
