I was a Lead Developer at Casmaco which consisted of managing staff and projects in the UK, Belgium, Spain, Tunisia, Maryland (USA) and Arizona (USA). The product I managed was a forms authenticated solution for Offender Case Management developed in ASP.NET c# using the service-orientated architecture pattern, HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery and XML using an IIS web server and the databases used were Oracle and SQL Server.My main role was an active development role which also involves creating the software architecture and then managing the UK and offshore teams to ensure that the development produced was accurate and to a high standard. I managed these tasks and resources using SharePoint and the TFS Kanban board. All development had to comply with development standards and had to cater for W3G and W3C checkpoints which I regularly code reviewed the produced code to ensure this.I have travelled to the client office in Brussels in Belgium four times and visited a prison and a methadone dispensing clinic in Maryland in the United States on two occasions. These trips were crucial to create a good working relationship with the client and to ensure that there were no misled assumptions. I produced a high level prototype which allowed the client to see an immediate output before a detailed design was created.

Starting as a senior developer, I was soon promoted to the software development manager where I managed a team of six developers and a SQL Server DBA. I was responsible for planning and prioritising the resources and projects to support over 300 legacy applications and implementing new development requests.Along with a colleague from the server team I created a Technical Architecture solution for web servers, SQL Server databases and storage. This resulted in cross-site resilient storage and an AlwaysOn database availability configuration allowing application and OS updates being applied without any downtime to the end users.I was a member of the IT Change Approval Board and a few other working groups, some of which involved board members, directorate mangers and senior medical consultants.

The key features included:• One and a half years in analysis and three years in web / application development;• Requirements gathering from key stakeholders and analysis with other team members to ensure the final products are built to the exact specification;• Web development involving HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, Classic ASP, ASP.Net MVC, Web Forms and Win Forms, IIS, SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005 and Source Control using TFS (Team Foundation Server);• Sole development of a bespoke Content Management System which reduced the process from two days to approximately 30 minutes saving the company over £35,000 each year;• Subject matter expert in automated testing. MS Excel for the data and Test Partner, Selenium IDE and iMacros plug-in for Firefox as the tools for the automated services;
