My great passion is finding solutions and alleviating unwanted stress from individuals facing road blocks. I have helped Leadership teams, employees, friends and family find better ways of working, and helped troubleshoot issues so they can focus on their priorities without fuss.Every situation is different for every individual, therefore I use my patience and hands-on skills I have developed over my 10 year career within the facilities sector to think of different approaches to achieve the same goal, but in a way that makes everyone happy.My journey began with Apple and I have since gained hands-on and management experience with a variety of different companies around London, covering multiple sites at once with varying infrastructure and technologies. I have been highly successful in my recent career that I have raised the bar for others to follow, and have recently been entrusted to coach new staff joining the company. I love what I do and am always using my inquisitiveness to continue improving myself within my role.I feel extremely fortunate to have been a part of many great teams and to have had the opportunity to build myself up to where I am now, and can trace my experience back from learning hands-on through multiple tradesman and H&S courses, learning on site and managing and coordinating high profile tasks and events. I grew up on Canvey Island, Essex, but often travel the UK with my Fiancée for short breaks with our dog. I am an avid sports fan with a primary focus on football. To curb my love for functionality, I am always looking to innovate around the house by starting a new decorating project. Above it all though, spending time with family is paramount, so you will often find me socialising with family and friends in the garden or for a kitchen catch up.

Assistant Facilities Manager

On behalf of the client - Fabrix London, I manage upwards of 18 properties across London and Essex, ranging from derelict vacant sites set for refurbishment, to fully occupied multi-let office town houses in West London with rich history. As Assistant Facilities Manager, I manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations for each site. Monthly FM Inspections are carried out to ensure all areas involving H&S, Fire and Environmental compliance, contractor performance and Tenant queries are captured and maintained. Multiple service charge budgets are drafted, approved and monitored to ensure budgets are accurate, as well as ensuring invoices are cleared in a timely manner. Meetings with the client are scheduled regularly to run through all reactive work, contractor KPI audits and future plans to ensure each site is kept up to date with the ever changing requirements, with amendments to contracts if needed. Tenant meetings are scheduled regularly to ensure service provided is of highest quality and to raised concerns to Contractors, Senior Management and Client.Attend numerous building work handover meetings to ensure work is completed to highest standard and spaces are ready for new tenants moving in. Induction meetings are then scheduled for me to introduce new tenants to MAPP and the building.

Facilities Management Technician

Primary duties are to maintain multiple sites at once through daily, weekly and monthly PPMs including daily walk arounds the site looking for potential hazards and functionality discrepancies across all hard and soft services. Carrying out first-fix repairs across a variety of equipment and looking for ways to innovate. Managing open reactive jobs for contractors and ensuring high standards for quality and safety are maintained, all while reporting performance and larger issues to the FM. Time Management has been key as I am often drawn away to different locations in East London with minimal notice, but need to ensure PPMs, reactive tasks and paperwork are filled out and submitted within a timeframe set out by the FM. My attention to detail has built up trust with my management team, resulting in additional responsibility like assisting with defect finding across multiple new sites in East London, raising concerns with the managing agents and overseeing all defects found are handled correctly. My reliability has encouraged the FM to count on me to run a cluster of sites during her absence. This included reviewing new jobs and assigning to contractors or FM Technicians, scheduling in PPMs with contractors and Centre Teams, chasing existing jobs with contractors and FM Technicians for a completion time, and handling concerns from all Centre Managers.

I am the only maintenance employee on site. My role is to self manage my own time to ensure maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner. I carry out daily building inspections to ensure all facilities are operational, and carry out work on areas that are highlighted. I regularly meet with the Office Manager and relay any issues I have found and update on all outstanding and completed jobs. I am IOSH: Managing Safely trained as well as DSE Assessment and First Aid. Alongside these, I have been trained to carry out carpentry, decorating, plumbing and brick laying work on site. One success from this role was my creation of entirely new PPM tasks for the building. These were signed off by the directors and are carried out by myself on a weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly basis, based on their severity. This list is always increasing as I create more from the addition of new products, equipment and breakdowns.
