Developing a non-destructive evaluation (NDE) method for the inline inspection of laser welds on thin titanium samples. Working in partner with The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC)

As a swimming instructor, my role was to help teach all ages to learn and develop swimming skills that would help them improve their technique and confidence in the water. To do this, I needed to have excellent communication skills, patience and the ability to motivate.

A year-long industrial placement at Cummins Turbo Technologies in which I rotated through three different departments, gaining various skills and experience. During the placement, I was required to meet strict deadlines to prevent products from missing their targeted release dates. I also worked globally with different teams based in the United States, India and China, to help find solutions to problems in designs as well as manufacturing procedures on a day to day basis.
