Principle duties included telephone and remote technical support for managed clients to provide problem resolution. This included hardware and software solutions as well as learning new technologies and software for ongoing upgrades and facilitating an easier work-flow. I was also responsible for creating a site-to-site VPN solution to provide both remote management and off-site data recovery/back-up and fail-over capability for corporate data, as well as a client-based VPN solution with RADIUS security to facilitate students ability to do testing in a transparent manner that was an upgrade over the previous testing solution.

I was recruited to rebuild a film transfer department with little to no direction other than "here is the gear, here are some manuals and we'll answer what questions you will have". Within a few weeks, I was able to figure out all the equipment to do basic transfers and then began to give the film transfer department a major technology upgrade by going with a computer-centric capture system that was capable of creating DVDs for clients. I also developed an internal computer network for the facility to allow for cross-department file sharing as well as shared internet access. I was also responsible for cross-patching a telephone system from the MPOE to one of the studios in order to have multiple analog and ISDN circuits which were used for a nationally broadcast radio show that used listener calls for question/answers as well as for broadcast up/down links.
