Over 25 years of retail real estate experience, my career has been balanced between working directly as a real estate head for retailers, such as Whole Foods, and as an Executive Vice President of Anchor and Big Box on the landlord side at GGP/Brookfield Properties. Additionally, I sit as an advisor on the ownership committee for JC Penny’s. Throughout my career, I successfully transitioned from the retailer side to the landlord side, quickly moving up the ranks. During my time at Whole Foods, I spearheaded the real estate portfolio in the United States, Canada, and England. I acquired/leased many of the top performing stores in the Whole Foods portfolio. I built the real estate development team, which was responsible for completing 25- 30 stores per year. On the landlord side, the collective team repositioned over 100 department stores into either a multi-tenant format or single user tenant bringing new uses and first to market concepts to the center such as grocery, entertainment, theaters, or retail. In addition, the box and anchor team achieved over 3 million square feet of new leasing and renewals per year. Additionally, as part of the EVP position, I partnered with retailers during unforeseen challenges that jeopardize their business– such as COVID-19, bankruptcy, supply chain issues, etc.
