In my current role I am the Commander of a 8 person specialized policing unit that serves 24 detachments throughout Western Alberta. The unit targets prolific and high risk offenders that bring the most harm to our communities.

Led the operations of a police detachment serving two municipalities and an Indigenous Reserve. Oversaw a staff which included 14 police officers, 4 full-time administrative support staff, and several part-time jail guards.

I was the second in command of an 8 person specialized Crime Reduction Unit that provided service to 24 Detachments throughout Western Alberta.

Conducted General Duty Policing until October 2016, then joined the specialized Crime Reduction Unit. I also obtained my CFEI designation as a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator.

Conducted General Duty Policing in the town of Cochrane, Rockyview County, and the Stoney Nakoda First Nation.

Served as a volunteer on-call firefighter. Completed NFPA 1001 Level 1 Firefighter Training, Red Cross Medical First Responder, and several additional courses including NFPA 1072 Hazmat Awareness, NFPA 1006 Ice Rescue Technician, Fire Attack, Fire Apparatus Emergency Vehicle Operation, and Incident Management.

I managed the Student Recruitment and First Year Advising Team of full and part-time employees for a post secondary institution with over 4000 students. In the role I worked with the marketing team to design visual print and web materials, developed and implemented targeted recruiting strategies involving extensive travel throughout Canada and the United States. During these years the institution saw record growth in enrolment numbers.

Represented the institution across Canada and the United States to conduct targeted recruitment of university students.

Worked as a Special Assistant to The Hon. Shawn Murphy, MP. Duties included drafting electronic and written communications, event planning, meeting with constituents and government agencies, and general administrative tasks.
