The role involves extensive liaison with delivery teams, internal customers and industrial partners, improving financial management information, understanding the whole cost and seeking approvals for future arrangements.

As Interim Finance and Accounting Functional Manager for the Domain I helped to develop and implement transformation of the Finance function as part of the programme to transform organisational performance. Led assurance of the Domain project performance which overall showed an in-year 0.6% reduction in spend of over £25Bn.

Provided considered advice to Finance Director on whether Business Cases met key financial assurance criteria i.e. value for money, affordable, robust cost/risk estimates, accounting treatments. Dozens of cases reviewed ranging from £20M to £Bn’s. Led development of Financial Assurance process. As part of Business Analyst team improved the organisations performance on Major Projects resulting in it meeting HM Treasury key performance criteria. Finance lead in quarterly reviews of major project performance.
