Working closely with the senior executive team, I provided project management and advisory support to lead the articulation of Habitat GTA’s housing program for the next era. Researched and developed implementation ready alternative housing models to support the expansion of Habitat GTA’s impact. - Led the development of Habitat GTA’s future housing program. Supported the development principles to guide the future housing program. - Completed in-depth research into potential housing models that can facilitate the development of more units and meet affordability targets.- Worked as part of a team to complete financial modelling to demonstrate economic viability for all stakeholders.- Researched and produced a report on the role of homeownership in wealth and racial inequality.- Developed supporting materials to support understanding and implementation for Habitat GTA’s Senior Executive Team and Board of Directors.

The MSc Urban Development Planning (UDP) teaches the analytical and practical tools to engage reflexively with the urban development and planning challenges thrown up by rapid social, economic and political change in the urban context. The challenge for urban development planning is to respond to these problems, working with urban communities to transform cities into places where women and men of different classes, ethnic groups, religions and ages, can exercise real individual and collective choice in their lives. The MSc UDP develops the capacity for critical diagnoses of the urban, as a basis for developing propositional responses within the framework of socially and spatially just urban governance.

Client Relations Coordinator who supported and helped manage assignments and projects with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities in Canada. While I was in this position, I coordinated project logistics, relationships and targeted economic development. One of the projects that I was heavily involved in was the Indigenous Women in Business assignment (see link below for further details).

CESO strengthens the economic and social well-being in Canada and abroad through engagement of skilled and experienced Canadian volunteers working co-operatively with our partners and clients to create solutions that foster long-term economic growth and self-reliance. At CESO I am fulfilling many different roles mainly working with the communications and accounting departments. I have also worked on a funding proposal to the department of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada.

Walker Industries works in several different sectors including aggregates, construction, emulsions, environmental project management, waste management, renewable energy projects and green building. My role as a payable clerk was to ensure that invoices were entered in a timely, accurately and in an organized fashion. This allowed the company to function on a day-to-day period during its busiest period of business. The other part of my job was to conduct a review of previous years payables to see if Walkers had paid Provincial Sales Tax in error. Through this detail oriented project I was able to recover several thousand dollars for Walkers that they otherwise would not have recovered.

Walkhome is a safe walk service at Queen’s University. This service provides students and the Kingston community a safe and friendly means of traveling between places at night. My job as a staff member was to create a safe and friendly environment for patrons and other staff members. This ensured that patrons would continue to use the service and grow the number of users. While I held this position, I worked on continuing to develop strong listening and communication skills as well as a positive and friendly demeanor.

The Quality Control lab is responsible for testing crushed stone and asphalt to ensure targets are being met. I was responsible for putting samples for a series of different scientific tests to ensure quality controls were being met. This allowed sales members to show customers that stone quality requirements could be met consistently. Also asphalt would be tested to be sure that projects requirements were being met and to the satisfaction of customers
