As a Database Systems Manager, I employ my creativity to review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs. I develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise-wide .Net applications, including overseeing the testing/fixing of said applications to ensure quality. Upon analyzing and evaluating the organization’s needs, I document requirements, define scope and objectives, and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies. I then code software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal needs and, on occasion, external customer needs. In addition, I manage the administration of the organization’s database, in which I review processes to help remove waste and increase efficiency, resulting in the development of a long-term strategy for data storage. I collaborate with a remote team of IT professionals to deliver business intelligence solutions and lead/direct a database analyst.

As a Database Analyst, I design databases which are accessed by applications, reports, OLAP cubes, and websites like SharePoint. Some normal database activities would include creating tables, views, functions, procedures, and jobs. These databases have linked servers, database mail setup, and utilize active directory to manage access to the database. Outside of the database activities, I am tasked with developing information system solutions for business problems. Over the last two years I have worked on several projects. Some of these would include: the development of several Windows based applications, created an OLAP cube (SQL Server), developed numerous macro based Excel reports, and created a few SharePoint websites using SharePoint designer.

As a Regional Training Manager, I was tasked with developing 20-25 field sales representatives within my assigned region. The focus of development would include: communication skills, presentation skills, organization skills, computer skills, and product knowledge. Additionally, I also interviewed and trained all new employees within my region. Lastly, I helped to develop new sales which are used throughout the entire field organization.
