- Appointed permanently to the principal role and facilitated the creation of a new process and piping team, comprising of 7 Process and mechanical piping engineers. Managed the team working across 5 projects mostly from manufacturing to start up phases.- Developed systems, processes and templates for both process and piping engineers to cover all project phases from concept to execution and operations. This included deliverables such as Process flow diagrams, equipment PSV and line sizing templates, pipe material specifications, process and instrumentation diagrams, heat and materials balances, and line and valve lists.

- Concept and pre-feasibility study for an ammonia fuelled locomotive product to be sold to external customers. Coordinated technical input from the team of approximately 100 engineers to develop the cost model, schedule, and concept design which contributed towards a business case.- Development of a market and competitor analysis which in conjunction with the cost model detailed the program’s internal rate of return and payback period.- Conducted a feasibility study with the first potential customer to determine suitability for an ammonia fuelled locomotive on their rail network.

- Developed the world’s first ammonia fuelled locomotive as a proof of concept within 3 months.- Designed and manufactured a combustion chamber to successfully combust ammonia at the scale of a large ship engine.- Completed concept, FEED, and detailed design of a second ammonia fuelled locomotive following the process safety lifecycle. Including Design review, HAZOP, LOPA, and management of change.

- Appointed to manage one of Fortescue’s largest capital project to increase production by 10 million tonnes per year in the next 18 months. Project targeted to deliver an additional A$2.3 billion of operating revenue.- Manager of a A$25 million capex project to manufacture ore cars in China. The project was delivered ahead of schedule and on budget to produce an incremental 4 million tonnes of iron ore and approximately A$1 billion revenue in FY21 and an additional A$2 billion of operating revenue in FY22.- After four significant safety incidents/potential fatalities occurred, developed an application to increase structural asset health across the business. The application increased visibility and reporting of asset defects, enabling improved maintenance, reliability, and safety. This application is now being rolled out across all Fortescue sites.

Ore Car Engineer working Fly in Fly out from Port Hedland. - Promoted to Engineer position two years ahead of standard career path (bypassing graduate engineering program)- Managed a project critical to achieve Fortescue’s FY20 production targets by accelerating the A$32 million capex ore car manufacture. Relocated to China to ensure project timetable was achieved. Project delivered an additional approximately A$1 billion in revenue in 2nd half of FY20 and double that in FY21. Awarded Fortescue’s highest award, “True Colours”, in recognition of this achievement.- Reduced rolling stock breakdown delays by 40%, from July 2018 to July 2020, increasing revenue by an estimated A$130 million per year.Developed and implemented a new linking mechanism for all iron ore cars to eliminate failures of these links, saving the company an estimated A$370 million per year in breakdown delays.

- Travelled to Quebec City to attend the Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Interventions Conference 2017 (MICCAI)- Then travelled to Boston to meet with colleagues at the Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). These colleagues worked in conjunction with ISML UWA to develop procedures, create programs, and provide patient information that was critical to the completion of my thesis
