Physicist with research & development experience in private industry, academia, and government. Areas of expertise include technology development of focused ion beam (FIB) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) systems (Intel Corporation, FEI Company) and research into plasmonic responses and light localization of optical antennas through photoemission electron microscopy (PEEM) and finite element method (FEM) modeling. Prior graduate research was primarily in the field of plasmonics, specifically centering around the study of light / electric field confinement through plasmonic antennas. The research used a combination of photoemission electron microscopy (PEEM) and finite element method (FEM) simulations to further understand the role of surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) and localized surface plasmons (LSPs) generated within and controlled through these structures.
