Working as an Electronics Technician in the Engineering Lab. I work closely with the engineering team to test our consumer electronic products. We perform a large variety of tests on Jasco products, from electrical to general functionality. These products must meet safety, functional and design standards before being passed on to our costumers. Began working towards this position in March 2018 in Pleasanton, TX as a Technician and Equipment Readiness Lead. This project, my Grade 11 project, consisted of relocating and setting up a new Wireline Operations Base. Job duties consist of: - Planning and scheduling for repairs and maintenance of electronic and mechanical equipment. - Developed complex excel spreadsheets to manage our work order database. This included tracking of assets, maintenance required, materials needed, technician task time etc. - Worked with multiple platforms of company software. Safety training and certifications, maintenance work orders, tracking and approving hours worked, monitoring overtime, planning vacation and handling sick time and medical leave. - Supported field technicians in Texas, California, Canada, Pennsylvania, Louisiana. Assisted with managing personnel and work. - Performance appraisals for my team. Included grading system, my manager review, then employee review at the end. - Team motivation goals and projects. Team building exercises, BBQs, slide deck trainings and more.

In 2014 I became the single technician for South Texas area, covering multiple locations.Job duties consisted of: Coordinated maintenance and movements of equipment within the base. Repaired and maintained electronic and mechanical equipment. Installation and maintenance computers and proprietary computer systems. Installed / maintained Wineguard satellite systems. Assisted our mechanic with electrical repairs on heavy trucks. Assisted with security equipment and IT server repairs and maintenance. Attended schools and trainings from Abu Dhabi, Canada to Tulsa, OK.

Schlumberger called me from 3 locations in North America offering a job. Activity had picked up and I felt like SLB would be a great company to build a career with, not just a job. So i went back to repairing and maintaining electronic, electrical and hydraulic equipment. Perform tasks on open hole tools, truck electrical/electronic and now learning ThruBit tools. Assess and order parts as needed for equipment. Work with FSM and direct manager on tool logistics, follow up on parts, reports and failure reviews. Currently involved in new special project for M&S manangement system. Because I had worked as SLB previously they bridged part of my time. So my equivalent hire date is May 3, 2008.

Again returned back to trusty Howards. Howards pay and benifits are quite low compared to the average for a senior tech. However it is a great place to work and learn automated equipment and lay off expectancy is almost inexistent. I first began building control cabinets for Substation transformers. Eventually went back to working along side mechanical and electrical engineers to co-design, build, calibrate and maintain automation equipment. Worked on single phase, three phase, high voltage and low voltage circuits. Used Allen Bradley automation equipment and programmed in RS Logix and Visual Basic.

Began a career at SLB to learn about wireline tools. I learned open hole and cased hole tools. Repaired, calibrated and maintained trucks and equipment. During the slow down in 2009 many employees were laid off or transferred. I had to refer back to my old job at this time.

Originally applyed at Bell South (now AT&T) to become a Digital Tech. Even though i passed all there tests and qualifed for Digital Tech, no openings were available. So I hired on as a Service Technician. Went to school for 3 months in Jackson, MS for training. Came back to Laurel was given my own company van with tools. Began installing and maintaining telephone lines. Worked in the field for 3 months, then a state wide lay off hit. My manager expressed greatly that she did not want to let us go, but had no choice. She said 80 employees were let go in MS.

After working with my Dad a few months, the VP finally called and said they were ready to hire me on. I began training as a technician working on automated equipment. Not long after starting here, Bell South began hiring people with much better pay and benifits. Howard was a great place to learn, but the pay and benifits were much lower than average for my field.

I had to leave the balast division in order to be hired on at the transformer division (company rules) I wanted to advance in my field and had topped out currently. My Dad offered to let me work with him in the meantime. I helped my Dad build new home additions and remodel old ones.

Began working at Howards while going to JCJC college for electronics technology. Worked mostly on flourescent balasts. We were called qaulity control technicians. We performed, audits, tests, repairs and maintenance on new electronic ballast assemblys. Later became supervisor over 38 quality control techs. I managed there work, introduced performance indicators and worked closely with each tech to get best results.
