After earning a Bachelor's degree from Texas State in 2004, I started my career in the homebuilding industry. I started as a superintendent with KB Homes here in the Austin area. This is were I learned the basics of building a home from the ground up. After working and learning with KB, I was offered an opportunity to work with a smaller builder that built a higher end product. I found this enticing as I always knew I wanted to own my business in the future. I jumped at the opportunity which allowed me to gain more knowledge of how the building industry was run along with experiencing a different product of build. Unfortunately, with the housing industry crash of 2008, I had to make a pivot and found myself working with my second passion, cars. I was able to start my new business from the ground up teaching myself more skills along the way. As the business grew, more and more opportunities presented themselves and I jumped at the new challenges. All the while being successful with each venture. Through the ebbs and flows of business, I found my self with revenues of over $6 million with 100 plus employees at the peak. The opportunity came in 2020 and was offered a buy out which I took an advantage of. With the new found opportunity, I have taken time to reflect on my next career move. I started to take appraisal classes and landed a position as an Appraisal Trainee. After working in the field, I have decided to pursue my first passion, the construction industry. I am here to pursue and build my next chapter back in the building industry.
