I am currently employed at 2Excel Logistics as an Accounts Assistant. My main tasks include, using Sage to upload invoices to the purchase ledger and put on a payment run. Managing the POD (proof of delivery) report, credit control and overseeing drivers’ expenses. As part of this I match invoices provided with the necessary paperwork ensuring all queries are resolved. I am also responsible for sending daily reports to the directors ready for us all to discuss in the daily meetings. Included in my job role is answering any calls from suppliers regarding payments and customers regarding PODs and ensuring these queries are dealt with quickly and efficiently while also monitoring our accounts department emails to prevent any escalations. After checking if all ‘Goods in Transit’ insurance is up to date and approved VIA our legal team I also am responsible for creating new supplier accounts.
