Conduct daily meetings with team members to discuss previous days scrap output, quality concerns and safety. Daily management responsibilities include set up, starting and adjusting of equipment, observing gauges to analyze and control process conditions such as temperature, pressure and flow of chemical and molten aluminum process and charge materials. Maintenance and inspection of equipment for leaks and other hazards are also part of daily production duties. Conducts daily safety audits of contractor and employee work throughout the plant to ensure safe work and procedures are being followed. Assist engineers with daily tasks related to start-up, to include: following Process Instrumentation & Diagram sheets, resource allocation, materials handling and scheduling of work. Melting aluminum by chemical analysis and blending to stay within customer specs, furnace upkeep and repair, problem solving analysis and troubleshooting, supplying the plant with molten aluminum and sand reclamation.
