This job was to optimize the rotary kiln incinerator and the waste water treatment plant. I issued over 30 process change requests during this time period. The change requests involved full hazard reviews with addition of equipment, design, alarm changes, and operational changes. The changes were tracked with updates to the P&ID's, Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Maintenance Procedures, and Training Material.I also led a capital project to convert the rotary kiln incinerator from Diesel fuel to Natural Gas. The conversion took place after I left China but P&ID's, HAZOP, and 3D model updates were done before I left. The natural gas conversion was finished beginning of 2012 and is saving Dow Corning over $200,000 a year.
