• A new Dyson designed electrochemistry is close to becoming a scalable technology, and I was brought in to create a team and lead the battery pack integration.
• Created and lead a team of Mechanical design, Thermal, and Power Electronic Engineers, working closely with Cell Application engineers and Electro-Chemists
• Supervised DFM discussions with production line integrators enabling a fully automated production line
• Influenced the cell design and product vision to achieve higher pack energy density
• Formulated the development and verification strategy for the battery pack, ensuring the skills and facilities required were available

• The Headphones were an entirely new category for Dyson, entering the Audio market with air purification. As Technical lead I was responsible for ensuring all systems and designs worked seamlessly to deliver a world.
• Technical leadership of Systems Engineering, Mechanical design, Audio, Electronics Hardware and Software
• Defined the product vision in a world’s first product format, working closely with the commercial teams to align technical specification and customer needs
• Pioneered a new business model for Dyson using two overseas development partners (JDM) for significant aspects of the product design and manufacture.
• I ran the vendor process, defined the statement of works, and was the technical authority at Dyson throughout the program

• A unique floorcare product without a cyclone for dust separation. I was responsible for the overall product integration of the new technology which involved integrating an additional motor and hardware to the product.
• Led the systems engineering strategy to define Product Requirements
• Directed the core technical solution across Separation systems, Motor drive, Power systems, and Mechanical design teams
• Defined verification strategy for the new technology
• Held regular 1:1 technical updates with the CTO

• The next generation of high speed motor, running at 700W and 130,000rpm, I led the mechanical design from research concepts to design completion and full production validation off a mass production line.
• Managed the Mechanical team of 30 people, who were split between UK and SEA
• I specialised in rotor balancing and high speed bearing implementation, gaining a patent for a bearing solution
• Managed the Design for manufacture, collaborating with part suppliers and production line integrators based in Japan, Germany and UK spending time on site during both design and validation stages
