From my first undergraduate job in '98, building and running a machine room for a hosting company in Otley (back in the 20th Century), security and infrastructure has been the work I've enjoyed the most. Throughout my career from academic research (Human interfaces and web technologies), through web development, managed hosting and security, being either at the technical coal-face or working with customers to keep their businesses secure and resilient has always been where I feel most at home.
