As an Intern, I am working with mechanics, operators, and electricians conducting the day to day operation of oil field activities. I am currently learning about all the different moving parts of the petroleum industry. I assist in monitoring the production and injection wells for high pressures, underloading, and overloading. I assist in conducting water quality testing so that the water that is injected back into the well is of good quality and clean of any contaminants. I help monitor pressures, and levels in Freewater Knockouts, Clarifier tanks, surge tanks, Master gas scrubber, vapor recovery unit, water receiving tanks, flotation separators, and skim basin using HMI (human-machine interface), and visual sight glasses/ gauges.
