Department Manager
Current• Oversee all aspects of daily departmental operations, including production and employee relations.• Manage 200+ employees by setting clear expectations, providing clarity to roles and responsibilities, delivering performance appraisals, promoting high performers, assessing salaries, coaching, and conducting crucial conversations.• Conduct department budget reviews, work stream and cost benefit analysis to identify and mitigate department inefficiencies, then recommend scalable business processes.• Oversee production facility’s quality control to ensure production output meets the standards defined in end-user contracts.• Ensure high production rates and low scrap rates by continually monitoring production and making necessary adjustments.• Troubleshoot and resolve daily issues with equipment, inventory, and staffing shortages, pivoting to meet production needs.• Deliver quality products by managing raw materials, including monitoring silo inventory and consumption, and quality control numbers, and confirming quality resin blends.• Ensure production facility and employees meet all safety and OSHA regulations.• Attend leadership meetings with cross-functional groups to assess productivity solutions for department needs.• Create and distribute weekly production reporting to operational leadership.
