As a Business System Analyst, I am responsible for serving as a liaison between the business groups and the IT groups in a role of formulating and defining complex system requirements. This consists of working closely with the business groups to have an clear understanding of the planned enhancements or modifications, and doing high level analysis, documenting requirements, and making recommendations. While in this role I have: flushed out requirements by using various tools such as use cases, flowcharts, process flows, coached my peers on the systems that we supported, filled in as a project manager when the project was to small to have one assigned, attended resource assignment meetings and assigned projects to my team ensuring they were fully allocated.
