I believe in living and helping others live a spirit rich life of life-giving relationships. I believe we all have four significant realms of relationships that must be healthy in order for life to be good. We have a relationship with the Ground and Source of All Being. We have a relationship with people. We have a relationship with the natural world, and we have a relationship with our selves. I have been a member of mental health teams, a pastor, a chaplain, and I own my own business. It is my value of relationships that guides me in all of these roles. I served as minister in the United Methodist Church for 19 years. Currently I am the Director of Leadership and Spiritual Life for Mind & Spirit Counseling Center. In my spare time I run my own home business, Spirit 77 Vintage. I am always exploring new ways to use my gifts in leadership, visioning, spiritual care, teaching, and relationship building.Examples of career accomplishments: - Initiated dialogue and collaborative relationship between local United Methodist Church and local Roman Catholic Church- Helped new people build strong relationship with long-time church members and helped to create an environment where they were encouraged and allowed to become leaders- Helped a community move through the grief of tragically losing a beloved leader and the horrors of 9/11- Started an interfaith relations and summer ministry internship program at Simpson College- Raised more than a million dollars to support new initiatives, while continuing to fund existing projects- Consistently receive high marks as a college teacher and workshop facilitator- Helped multiple organizations develop compelling visions based on their core values - Developed and supported strong work teams - Provided ethical and effective spiritual care for families and individuals of all faiths and philosophies for over 19 years- Provided spiritual support for a diverse group of people at The Mind& Spirit Counseling Center- Facilitated healing conversations for teams and leaders seeking to rebuild trust and effectiveness in my work as a conflict mediator. - Facilitated workshops on Leadership in Anxious SystemsCore Competencies: Strategic Visionary, Creative Direction, Group Dynamics, Spiritual Leadership, Pastoral Care, Spiritual Direction, Teaching/Training
