• Master’s Degree in Human Development and Statistics (M.Ed.).• Professional-level Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher (UMass Medical School Center for Mindfulness).• Five years of experience working with the incarcerated (who often present with co-occurring psychiatric issues and addiction).• Ability to work well within both community-based and institutional settings, including team meetings, reporting, and planning.• 20 years experience with curriculum development and implementation, for a wide variety of populations, including undergraduates and professionals.• Ten years of experience working privately with clients who present with a variety of challenges, including: drug and alcohol addiction, eating disorders, gambling and sex addiction, and children and teens with mood disorders and behavioral challenges. Ten years experience also working with clients suffering with chronic and/or acute illnesses such as stroke, cancer, and Multiple Sclerosis, often comorbid with addiction.• CORI cleared; will pass any required drug and/or alcohol screening. • Extensive experience in program development and implementation, including adherence to confidentiality.• Extensive group facilitation, education, and workshop skills.• Excellent writing and presentation skills, coupled with substantial knowledge of 12-step recovery programs and principles.• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including one-on-one therapeutic counseling and progress evaluation.• As a small business owner, adept at record-keeping, time management, and strategic planning.
