As a lead environmental inspector my general focus included ensuring construction within jurisdictional environmental features was properly completed in compliance with all federal, state, and local permits. As a utility inspector I ensured that the primary contractor and all sub-contractors met specifications regarding pipeline construction, landowner agreements, safety standards, and compliance with federal and state permits. Construction activities inspected included ROW clearing and grading, trench excavation, pipe bending, mainline lowering-in, padding and backfill, and final restoration of the right-of-way.

My primary duties included supervising our ecological team in conducting due diligence studies for environmental compliance and permitting relating to our clients development efforts in the Eagle Ford Shale. Our compliance efforts focused on both upstream and midstream oil and gas development. Environmental studies included conducting jurisdictional wetland determinations, T&E species assessments, habitat surveys, spill response, and site remediation. My main focus was to ensure that the ecological team provided every opportunity for our clients to carry out their operations while providing environmental compliant solutions and eliminating the need for state/federal agency involvement or permitting when possible. I also managed our client’s permit acquisition needs relating to the Clean Water Act when necessary.

My duties focused on conducting field studies for environmental compliance and permitting, report preparation and data analysis for federal and state permits, project management, supporting business development efforts, proposal preparation, providing project-related GIS support, and mentoring junior level staff. Field studies including jurisdictional wetland delineations and determinations, Phase 1 ESAs, T&E species assessments, and spill response studies, including SCAT surveys and NRDA sampling.

I conducted multiple environmental and cultural studies used for permitting, regulatory compliance, and due diligenceprocesses including wetland delineations, Phase I environmental risk assessments, karst, and cultural resource surveys.Analyzed data and compiled reports associated with previously mentioned studies, as well as storm water pollution preventionplans for the issuance permits under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and other state and federal permits.
