I am responsible for Application Engineering at Rocket Auto. We use modern software engineering practices to deliver business value at unprecedented pace; with a focus on quality, autonomy, ownership of clear goals, and fast feedback loops as key enablers.In my time here we have completely redesigned our business model, and in true lean-startup fashion, were able to work closely with our business partners to get a working MVP off the ground less than 6 weeks from starting. As we did this, we established strong feedback loops, and iterated multiple times in the most critical areas to make improvements as we learned from real-world use.I've played a critical role in designing and implementing the org structure to accomplish this, as well as establishing the culture and practices that would allow our engineering teams to succeed. I championed the iterative approach, and was a key collaborator in building the roadmap for the engineering team's part of the new model.

I led two backend teams at StockX, both core to our platform. One team is responsible for every dollar going in our out to our customers - billions of dollars a year. We manage a host of payments types and currencies that allow StockX to be a truly global company, and pride ourselves in our reliability and resiliency.The other team is responsible for the services that drive the marketplace of things that is StockX. We deal with massive scale, processing hundreds of thousands of events per minute, all with 5-9s of availability. We have patents pending for our global marketplace, and use modern distributed patterns to provide higher availability than the vendors we rely on.

We are responsible for the entire lifecycle of our application: design, development, and support.
