I am currently working as a Technology Transfer Fellow (TTF) at SPECIFIC (Sustainable Product Engineering Centre for Innovative Functional Industrial Coatings) within Swansea University.My main duties and responsibilities include:- A member of a highly skilled team of researchers that provide laboratory assistance along with expertise on a wide range of analytical techniques, coatings and resin development, computational chemical modelling, and accelerated and natural weathering tests.- Developing new and innovative projects with SPECIFIC to support existing and new collaborations with industry. - To provide supervision and assistance for EngD students who are undertaking projects within the functional coatings group.

Enrolled on a 4 year Engineering Doctorate course at Swansea University working with Beckers Industrial Coatings on the project "Alternative Formulations for Paints of the Future".the majority of work carried out within this project centered around:The identification of potential monomers of interest. The formulation and synthesis of multiple novel resin and coating systems.Improving understanding into the reasons behind degradation during natural and accelerated weathering exposure. Liaising with sponsor companies, and providing regular project updates to audiences with mixed backgrounds. Utilisation of computational chemical modelling methods to improve insight into coating performance.
