I have worked in the entertainment industry since 1990, starting off as an booking agent for some of the top dance music acts in the world inc The Prodigy, Jamiroquai, The Lords of Acid, before going on to handle the marketing and sponsorship for the Tribal Gathering music festivals (50,000 people in a field with 200 DJ's and acts). Left to form a youth marketing and PR agency called Cruise Control (the first online PR agency in the UK) working mainly in video games before realising there was a gap for a lifestyle fashion brand within video games and Joystick Junkies was launched in Feb 2000.Built Joystick Junkies brand up with business partners from t-shirt label to fashion brand and then oversaw the move into running fan merchandise webstores for major video games like Battlefield 3, for EA Games.In 2012 founded MODIPHIUS Entertainment, a tabletop games publisher developing and marketing entertainment properties in the tabletop gaming market. Our first release via Kickstarter was a terrifying take on WW2 inspired by H P Lovecraft, Achtung! Cthulhu (now a video game, novel and boardgame). In 2013, we signed the rights to re-boot the major 1990's sci-fi property Mutant Chronicles, CONAN, from Conan Properties LLC. 2015 saw the launch of the Thunderbirds boardgame with ITV Ventures with designer Matt Leacock. We have since licensed Kung Fu Panda, John Carter of Mars, STAR TREK, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, DUNE, Discworld and Mass Effect for roleplaying, boardgames and miniatures games. In 2023, we launched two new in-house IPs, Dreams and Machines, a hope punk post-apocalyptic world and Cohors Cthulhu, a terrifying action adventure set in ancient Rome. We're now a major producer (1 million parts per year) of miniatures games with Fallout and Elder Scrolls as our leading lines alongside Cohors Cthulhu and Mass Effect.
