I am a highly experienced business leader specialising in life sciences and, in particular, pharmaceuticals. My passion lies in development of innovative new medicines and technologies, and I have significant experience in project and organisational leadership, portfolio management and strategic change. I'm currently a non-executive director at Rosa Biotech, a company developing a biosensing platform for early disease diagnosis and industrial biotechnology. I'm also a member of Bath University's Ventures Board and former Director and member of the investment panel of Alderley Park Ventures Ltd.I have over 30 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having worked as a senior executive at AstraZeneca for 17 years until June 2016. I have extensive experience in leading both large, complex global technical functions and major development projects & brands across numerous therapeutic areas, spanning discovery, early and late stage development, LCM and on-market support. I have over 5 years’ experience as a core member of AstraZeneca’s early stage & late stage R&D governance committees, and the commercial operations supply and investment committee.I earned my degree and PhD from the University of Bath and was awarded an honorary DSc in 2015.
