As a trusted advisor in the information security industry and a delegate of the Australian Computer Society, I aid the University by contributing to the formation of IT and cyber security courses within the School of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences.

A foundation member of the South Metropolitan TAFE advisory group on cyber security. In this role, I provide advice on the content of training courses to maximise the employability of graduates.

St John of God Health Care is a leading provider of high-quality health care services operating 23 facilities comprising 3,208 hospital beds in Australia and New Zealand, as well as home nursing, disability services and social outreach programs.My role was to is an advocate for the Group’s total information security needs and is responsible for the development and delivery of a comprehensive information security strategy to optimise the security posture. The complexity of this position required a leadership approach that was engaging, imaginative, and collaborative, with a sophisticated ability to work with other leaders to set the best balance between cybersecurity strategies and other strategic priorities of the organisation.

Inaugural position tasked with the creation of the Kinetic IT SOC. My team successfully built Western Australia's first commercial Cyber Security Operations Centre and grew the customer base. In the first year of operation, Kinetic IT won McAfee’s growth partner of the year recognising the rapid uptake and growth of the service .

As a member of the WA ACS Branch Executive Committee, I assisted in the organisation of events which raise the profile of computing as a profession and desirable career. I also represented members at the executive committee meetings which provide direction and input into the activities of the association in WA.

As the WA delegate to the ACS Professional Development Committee, I attended and assisted in the planning of the activities for member professional development across Australia. This included organising industry leading speakers and advising on areas of development for the membership base.
