Chief Executive OfficerOwl, Inc. Jan 2014 - Jan 2017Owl, Inc. was born after the JV dissolution of ASC-LxCAM - a technology company providing security, monitoring and accountability solutions to government entities. Recognizing the potential applications on the consumer side, one of the founding partners raised capital to buy-out his corporate partner. I was brought in by the investing team to serve as CEO for this new entity, pivot the company in to a new market, develop a go-to-market strategy and position the company so that investors had the option to either exit or pursue a long-term hold. The mandate was difficult in that I had to keep both options open which sometimes meant competing goals. Ultimately, the technology was acquired in a private deal.DELIVERED RESULTS:* At the request of the Board of Directors, devised and implemented two-part business strategy — short and long-term growth and pitch strategy for possible acquisition.* Transformed the company’s overall brand after conducting a through market research initiative which resulted in a new company name (Owl Vs. LxCAM), logo design and overall go-to-market strategy.* Successfully negotiated pilot programs to provide proof of concept with Yankee Stadium, the Virginia Tech football program and the Maracanã Stadium for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil* Built out an executive team and small development team located in the US, India and Belarus to commercialize technology while operating within a very tight budget.

Sr. Director - Government DivisionPhilips Feb 2012 - Dec 2013Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, NlI oversaw a $380M P&L for the second largest division within Philips Home Healthcare. I was also selected to be one of 40 Global Leaders throughout Philips that attended and completed a year-long intensive Executive Development Program.DELIVERED RESULTS:* I fueled division growth to record-high subscribers within first 10 months.* Turned around failing division by spearheading strategic initiatives and change management schemes that drove operational improvements, increased sales, and strengthened marketing operations. ==> I led division to achieve $80M in increased earnings over previous year. ==> Expanded market reach by opening new channel with Department of Veterans Affairs. ==> Realized 3X subscriber growth in just one year by developing business strategy that led to Philip’s becoming one of the two approved Automatic Medication Dispenser (AMD) Manufacturer’s for Wisconsin’s Medication Adherence Solicitation. * I boosted staff productivity and morale by facilitating continuous capability-enhancement trainings, conducting hands-on coaching sessions, and promoting shared best practices within operations.* Redesigned a 100+ employee call center to improve the customer experience, improve efficiencies and drive better accountability. Result was improving Net Promoter score from a 6.2 to an 8.5 without increasing headcount or overall cost.* Directed and oversaw improvements to the home healthcare business's inventory management and supply chain - guiding the company through a transition to a just-in-time model. I effectively used data to convince leadership to switch allowing the business to drive higher margins. Mitigated the downside risk of the new model through a series of risk management initiatives and planning sessions. -
