Medical IT Solutions (medIT) was founded as a healthcare focused IT consulting firm in 2006 to serve practices of all specialties and sizes with ongoing IT support and management of their technology. By demystifying the transformation from paper to paperless systems, (and some help from our government to incentivize the transition) there was tremendous opportunity to expand from consulting and IT support to new technologies such as cloud, compliance, and security. Over the years, Chris and his team launched new services to accommodate the industry changes. Some of those services included HIPAA compliance, EMR & PM hosting, server virtualization, consolidations, and more. Some accomplishments included helping practices navigate the HITECH adoption and attestation of Meaningful Use certification, building technology roadmaps for customers to implement new or consolidate their EMR and PACS, navigate the interoperability challenges of this era, and meet new regulation changes such as MACRA and The 21st Century Cures Act.• Helped 50+ practices implement electronic medical records (EMR) and transition to EMR and practice management systems.• Created, marketed, sold, and implemented suite of professional IT services to help physicians and staff streamline workflow, optimize systems, improve patient outcomes, reduce human error, and lower costs.• Built, designed, and delivered a multi-tenant hosting solution (private cloud) for customers to access applications and data (over 2000 concurrent sessions at time).• Supported thousands of end users, responding to, and managing tens of thousands of support requests, on site and remotely delivered professional IT services.• Implemented new compliance services to deliver HIPAA Risk Assessments, Data Protection, and security services.
