Chris co-founded Acadiance because the scale, efficiency, and outcomes-driven-approach of the global investment and capital markets industries can move the needle on behalf of Nature and natural capital.Chris has 30+ years of leadership, new business development, advisory, and analytical roles in the institutional investment, family office, global private client, and private banking industries. Chris has capital allocation and investment experience across the risk and liquidity spectrum; multi-currency global equity portfolios, timberland, derivatives, structured products, private equity / venture capital, absolute return, market neutral, global macro, real asset, and distressed & special situations. With a focus on new business, Chris has helped attract, allocate, and invest ~$100B from and on behalf of some of the world’s largest pools of capital, like Yale’s Endowment, CALPERS, the Governments of Singapore and Australia, and billionaire global families.Most recently with BNY Mellon ($50T), Chris was responsible for new business origination in the global family, non-profit, and institutional marketplaces. Prior to that, with Fidelity Investments (Institutional) and Windrose Advisors, Chris originated institutional, family office, and private client new business across the full suite of capital markets capabilities. Prior to that, with Charles Schwab Investment Management and Acadian Asset Management, Chris had investment, advisory, marketing, and technology platform responsibilities.Chris attended Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, where he held a double-major in International Relations and French, studied at Sciences Po in Paris, and was elected Captain, All-New England, and set the single-season goal record for the nationally-ranked Men’s Lacrosse Team. In addition to other non-profit volunteer activities, during Chris’ 7-year Trustee tenure as Chair of the Investment Committee at his alma mater, the Dexter-Southfield School in Brookline, MA, the school’s endowment portfolio more than tripled in value.
